Job Summary

  • Plans, oversees, and directs the Charge Description Master (CDM or chargemaster) operational, team, and personnel activities at a hospital or institution who review and refine the Charge Description Master.
  • Manages and maintains the institution's CDM, and conducts audits and reviews, ensuring regulatory compliance, consistency, accuracy, and integrity in naming, coding, modifying, pricing, data collection, claims production, and revenue reporting, protection, and management.
  • Develops and implements chargemaster initiatives and processes.
  • Coordinates the chargemaster approval process, overseeing activites of the Chargemaster Coordinator.
  • Oversees requested changes, additions, deletions, and other modifications to the file, and confirms all updates.
