Description:
  • Manages and coordinates subordinate bookkeeping staff who keep complete set of records of financial transactions of establishment.
  • Oversees multiple tasks performed by subordinates, which include verifying and entering details of transactions as they occur or in chronological order in account and cash journals from items, such as sales slips, invoices, check stubs, inventory records, and requisitions; summarizing details on separate ledgers and transferring data to general ledger; balancing books and compiling reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business; and calculating employee wages from plant records or timecards and preparing checks or withdrawing cash from bank for payment of wages.
