Job Summary

Description:
  • Identifies, researches, and studies sources of pollution and hazards to determine threats and their effects on the environment.
  • Collects and analyzes meteorological data, water, and soil samples for research projects and investigations, spending time in both fieldwork and laboratory testing.
  • Researches, analyzes, and interprets data; assesses pollution problems; identifies the source of pollutants; and reduces or eliminates the sources of pollutants that affect people, wildlife, and their environments.
  • Documents test and analysis results, measurements, and observations of air, water, soil, and other sources; and makes recommendations on how best to clean and preserve the environment.
