Description:
  • Initiates, administers, and promotes ongoing diabetes management for non-insulin and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus patients, utilizing nursing processes and American Diabetes Association guidelines.
  • Collects comprehensive patient health data and critically analyzes assessment data in determining or confirming the diagnosis or problem list.
  • Identifies expected clinical outcomes from assessment data and diagnosis or problem list and individualizes expected outcomes with the patient and with the health care team.
