Description:
  • Assigns lot numbers to be assigned to individual or group of livestock, and tags or marks and prepares each animal for auction at auction location.
  • Writes assigned numbers in record book.
  • Relocates livestock to appropriate locations to assure they are auctioned in the correct order.
  • Organizes livestock in groups if they are to be auctioned as a group.
  • Directs, guides, or herds animals to auction area, and assists in showing all sides of them to potential bidders, pointing out special or unique features if they exist.
  • Informs bidders of things like breeder, mother and father, vaccinations, disposition, and age of animals.
