Overview | While market-based pay systems have become the most common method for determining pay, job evaluation is an important tool for compensation professionals seeking to achieve internal pay equity. This course will take a close look at three of the main job evaluation methods in use, job ranking, point factor, and market pricing. We will guide you through the steps of job evaluation where the focus is on creating a job hierarchy based on job duties and their importance to the organization. There will also be an analysis of why job evaluation, especially the point factor method, is a sound approach to achieving pay equity in an organization. Upon completion of this course, you will be ready to implement and use a job evaluation program of your own. |
