OverviewRetirement plans are an important component of employee benefits. In this course you will learn about demographic trends that are influencing retirement plans. There will be an examination of Social Security: the kind of benefits it pays, how it is funded, eligibility requirements, and the health of the fund. You’ll look at several different types of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans such as traditional pension plans, 401(k) plans, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), Supplemental Executive Retirement Plans (SERPs), and Secular Trusts. You’ll also learn about retirement plan options for small businesses, and retirement plan design and administration.
