Install Assessor Series® Applications from CD-ROM Using a License Code

This installation option is designed for new subscribers, or renewing subscribers who have not yet updated their license information for the current subscription year.

If you are a renewing subscriber and have already entered a current license code (see Check Your License Code to verify), please follow the instructions to Update Assessor Series Applications from CD-ROM instead of the instructions below.

As of January 2006, ERI's quarterly updates are provided on a single Platform Library CD-ROM.  All fully licensed Assessor Series applications can be installed from this CD-ROM.  Most demos are accessible without any installation directly from the Platform Library CD-ROM.  The CA and eDOT demos require installation.

If your organization/employer has given you limited administrative rights for software installations, you may not be able to download an executable file (*.exe) from a CD-ROM or the Internet. Talk to your MIS or IT department about getting administrative access to download files.

Platform Library CD-ROM Instructions:

1.Close all open programs, with the exception of your Windows operating system.
2.Place the current version of ERI's Platform Library® CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive.  Most computers will automatically run the CD-ROM. See Running ERI's Platform Library for additional information.
3.Select To Install | Install Assessors Using License Code.
4.If you are a renewing subscriber, you may be prompted to confirm that you would indeed like to proceed with entering a new license code (perhaps for the new year, or due to a subscription change).  Please click the Ignore button to continue.
5.Please read over the ERI End-User License Agreement displayed on the "License Agreement" screen.  If you agree to the terms of the license, please click "I Agree" then click the OK button.
6.In the License Code field, type the license code found on the invoice or instruction sheet mailed with the latest quarterly update. Please note:  A license code must be used within 8 weeks after the day it is created.  If you have waited for more than a month after receiving your license code to install your Assessor Series applications, your code may no longer be valid.  If your license code needs to be updated, please contact ERI.  See License Code for more information.
7.In the Company or User Name field, type the name of your organization or your name.
8.Click the Apply button.
9.Click the OK button.
10.On the "Welcome" screen, click the Next button.
11.On the "Assessors to Install" screen, please make sure that all the Assessor Series applications you subscribe to are checked, and then click the Next button.  (Please note:  The installation program will automatically check the applications included with the license code entered.)
12.On the "Select Destination Directory" screen, please make sure that the desired installation directory is selected, then click the Next button.
