QUESTION: A Program Compatibility Assistant displays after I install the latest DVD. Is this a problem?

Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Server 2008 may present a Program Compatibility Assistant dialog when the Platform Library closes.

This dialog may typically appear following this sequence of events:

1.	The Platform Library (usually the demo or update version running from a DVD or removable USB drive) launches an installation.

2.	The installation ends (either completed or canceled).

3.	The Platform Library that launched the installation is closed.

In most cases, the installation was launched from the demo or update version of the Platform Library -- not the installed Platform Library -- so the dialog may show a “DVD” location.

If a a Program Compatibility Assistant dialog appears for eri.exe, then select "This program works correctly." Do not select "Restart the program as an administrator."
