QUESTION: When I try to run an Assessor Series software database, I get the error message: "Run time error 217 at ..."

This error message has to do with your Windows Regional Settings. Frequently, customers who experience this error message are among ERI's Canadian customers.

1.	Click the Windows Start button and select Settings \| Control Panel.

2.	Double-click the Regional Settings icon.

3.	If necessary, change your Regional Settings to English (United States) and make sure that the short date style uses a month, day, year order and that "/" as opposed to "-" is the date separator. Example: m/dd/yyyy.

4.	If the Regional Settings are changed, then restart the computer.

5.	Try opening the Assessor Series application again.
