QUESTION: I used to be able to toggle between salary/wage and cost-of-living data on the Geographic Assessor® software database Comparison List tab. Can I still do this?
The DOS version of the Geographic Assessor software and databases (available through the end of 1999) did have this feature. The Windows version of the Geographic Assessor software and databases (released in early 1999) displays renter-only cost-of-living information on the Two City Comparison table as a "quick check" to illustrate the difference between salary/wage and cost-of-living for a specific area. However, the toggle feature for the Comparison List table was not carried over.
Why? The Geographic Assessor software database was designed to provide salary/wage differentials for the US and Canada. The Relocation Assessor® software database, on the other hand, was designed to provide detailed, international, renter and owner cost-of-living analyses.
Please use the COL Table by Comparison in the Relocation Assessor software database to create a benchmark list of cost-of-living data. |
